Preparation time: 60 minutes
Serves: 6-8 persons
- 1 piece of salmon steak (200 g)
- 1 piece of steak tolstolob or catfish (150 g)
- several pieces of bonito/palamud/
- 4 medium potatoes
- 2 medium carrots
- 6 medium shrimps
- salt to taste
- 2 tbsp soy sauce1 piece (around 2 cm long) of fresh ginger
- small bunch of fresh coriander
- coarsely ground black pepper and cayenne pepper
In a large saucepan boil the fish over low heat - about 30 minutes. Then, remove the pieces and leave on a side to drain. Strain the broth. Cut the carrots and potatoes into cubes. Chop the ginger. Put all vegetables into the fish broth. Add some salt and soy souse. Boil until tender. Meanwhile, remove the bones from the fish.
When vegetables are cooked, return the fish in the broth, add the shrimps and a few sprigs of coriander. If soup is too thick pour a glass of water. Bring again to a boil. Remove from the stove when starts boiling.
Serve hot, sprinkled with pepper and finely chopped fresh coriander.
