Oven Roasted Pork Meat with Garlic and Sage
Preparation time: 4 hours
- A large piece of boneless pork leg or shoulder (about 1.5 kg)
- 5-6 cloves of garlic 1 carrot
- 1 tsp mix of green, white and pink peppercorns
- 1 small bunch of sage
- 500 g mushrooms
- 50 ml of water
- 50 ml red wine
- 1 plastic bag suitable for roasting
Peel the garlic cloves. Cut the carrot into thick strips. Season the meat with some salt and pepper. With sharp knife make a few deep cuts into the meat. Insert the garlic cloves and carrot pieces. Put the meat into the roasting bag and place it in a deep pan.
Add the mushrooms, peppercorns and arrange sage sprigs on the top. Pour the red wine and the water. Tie the bag and put in the oven at about 200 to 220 degrees Celsius. For detailed information, read the instructions at the back of the package of the roasting bags.
Bake for about 4 hours.
Take out from the oven and carefully remove the bag. Transfer the meat in a serving dish, slice and serve with roasted mushrooms on a side.
