
Potato Gratin with Onions and Thyme

Preparation time: 1 hour
Serves: 4
- 1 kg medium size potatoes
- 4-5 onions
- Salt
- Pepper
- Few sprigs of fresh thyme
- Vegetable oil
Peel potatoes and onions and cut them into fine slices.
Grease a deep round pan with oil. Divide potato slices into two equal parts. Arrange one half of them at the bottom of the baking pan. Sprinkle with salt, ground black pepper and finely chopped thyme.

Sprinkle with a little bit of olive or vegetable oil. Arrange one layer onion slices on top. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and thyme. On the top arrange remaining potato slices. Sprinkle again with salt, ground pepper and thyme.

Pour a little bit of olive oil and a little bit of white wine. Wrap with foil and bake at 200 degrees Celsius for about 15 minutes. Then remove the foil and bake until golden brown.
