Serves 6 (small ramekins)
500 ml milk
5tbsp+ 5 tbsp sugar for the caramel
Prepare 6 ramekins or other Pyrex cups. Pour 5 tablespoons sugar in small saucepan. Turn the heat and gently stir until the sugar begins to melt. At the moment it starts to burn remove it from the heat. Split it quickly into the cups.
Beat the eggs, milk, sugar and vanilla in separate bowl. Divide mixture into the ramekins and put them in a deep baking pan. Pour some water into the pan so that it covers two thirds of the height of the cups.
Put in oven and bake at 140 degrees Celsius about 2 hours.
Chill and serve
