Einkorn Soda Bread with Basil and Garlic
Preparation time: 20 minutes
Baking time 30-40 minutes
- 450 g einkorn flour
- 2 tbsp sunflower seeds
- 2 tbsp pumpkin seeds
- 1 tsp soda
- 1 tsp salt
- 2 tbsp chopped basil
- 3-4 cloves of garlic
- 250 ml soda water
Peel the garlic. Smash it or just chop finely.
In a pan mix the flour, seeds, baking soda, salt, garlic and basil. Add honey and gradually pour carbonated water. Knead a soft dough and shape it into a small smooth ball.
Transfer the ball into baking tray covered with baking paper or sprinkle with flour.
Press a little bit with hands. With sharp thin knife, make a cross cut with a depth of about one centimeter.
Sprinkle with flour and put to bake in a preheated to 200 degree Celsius oven. Bake 30-40 minutes, until rised and well browned.
