Apple Cake with Butter

Serves: 30 pieces
- 1 large packet tea biscuits with rectangular form
- 250 g butter
- 5 large apples
- 2 cups flour (500g )
- 10 g baking powder
- 1 pinch of salt
- 3 eggs
- 50 g milk
- 2/3 cup brown sugar (140 g)
- 2/3 cup roughly chopped walnuts
Melt 125 g butter and pour it in rectangular tray with size 40x26 cm. Arrange the biscuits at the bottom. If needed, break some of them in order to cover tightly the whole surface.
Peel and cut apples into slices with thickness of 5 mm. Spread apples evenly over the biscuits.
Meanwhile, melt remaining butter and turn oven to 160 degrees Celsius.
In a bowl, mix flour, baking powder and salt. Beat eggs with sugar until fluffy. Add the milk and melted butter. Do not stop beating. Incorporate the flour and mix well. By using wooden spoon or spatula, spread evenly the mixture over the apples. Sprinkle with walnuts and bake 30-40 minutes until browned.
Remove and sprinkle with powdered sugar. Serve on the next day.
